Entire episode
Divided into 3 shorter segments
The National University of Singapore has been bringing students to Silicon Valley to give them the opportunity to gain hands on experience working as an intern at a startup company. Seliyah Silvarajoo and Ajay Gopal, two students in the program, share their experiences.
The experience of interning at Silicon Valley startup companies has exposed students to what the startup environment is like, and has provided them with practical experience that cannot be taught in the classroom.
Should practical experience merely be a supplement to traditional education, or should it replace traditional education all together? In the final segment of the episode, we discuss the future of the NUS program and of education as a whole.
