Singularity University is a technology incubator that recruits very bright students from all over the world, teaches them the latest advances in technology, gives them an overview of the world’s biggest challenges, and helps them find ways to apply the technology to solving the challenges. Future Talk recently attended the graduation celebration of the latest graduating class, where 80 students from 35 different countries organized themselves into about 20 startup companies, each one trying to bring benefits to a billion or more people. This episode of Future Talk contains scenes from the celebration, including interviews with Peter Diamandis, co-founder of SU as well as founder and CEO of the X Prize Foundation, and many of the student entrepreneurs. The in-studio guest is Daniel Kraft, Director of the Medical Track at SU, entrepreneur, inventor, avid pilot in the California Air National Guard and finalist in NASA’s astronaut selection competition.
